Sun On The Water

The sun painted a beam o'er the water to me
And I caught it and took it away.
It pervaded my heart with beauty and warmth
And I kept it all night and next day.

​

It is there for us all, if we bother to look
Darkest hours can turn into light
Miracles of nature, the sky and the sun
Transform us with all of their might.

I walk by the river, recapture the scene
As the sun sinks in sleep for the day
And there once again o'er the water so still
A sunbeam helps me on my way.
